Account Structure and Fund Transfers: Moving Funds Between Spot and Perps, and Subscribing to Earn and User Vaults
Your money at MC Markets revolves around the Spot Account: Transfer moves it between Spot and Perps, while Earn and User Vaults use Subscribe and Redeem. Understanding how they fit together is the foundation for using every feature on the platform.
1. The Basics: Where Your Money Sits
At MC Markets, your money isn't kept in one place. The money you trade with sits in two accounts, the Spot Account and the Perps Account, and you move it between them with Transfer. To earn returns, you can use money in your Spot Account to subscribe to Earn, or subscribe to a User Vault. Each place does a different job, a bit like the drawers at home that each hold different things.
| Where | What it's for | Supported coins | How money goes in and out |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spot Account | Spot trading, Instant Swap, withdrawals; priced in USDC | USDC and any crypto you have bought | Deposits land here by default, and withdrawals go out from here |
| Perps Account | Trading perpetual contracts; settled in USDC | BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT, USDC | Transfer to and from the Spot Account |
| Earn (Earn Account) | Earning returns with Earn, flexible or fixed-term, in the coin you deposit | BTC, ETH, SOL, USDC, USDT | Subscribe and Redeem on the Earn page |
| User Vault | Subscribing to shares of vaults created by managers, settled at the daily NAV | USDC only | Subscribe and Redeem on the User Vault page |
Your Spot and Perps balances are shown on the Portfolio page, and your Earn and User Vault holdings on their own pages.

You also have an account UID, your unique identifier on the platform. You can view and copy it under User Center → Overview.
2. How Money Moves
If you remember one thing, make it this: the Spot Account is the hub for your funds.

In practice:
- Money you deposit goes to your Spot Account by default
- Withdrawals can only be made from your Spot Account
- Money in your Perps Account moves to and from your Spot Account with Transfer
- Earn is subscribed with money from your Spot Account, and redemptions go back to your Spot Account
- User Vaults are subscribed with USDC on the User Vault page
So whichever feature you want to use, your money usually passes through the Spot Account first, like a transit station.
3. How to Transfer Funds to Your Perps Account
To trade perpetual contracts, you first need to move money from your Spot Account to your Perps Account.
Steps:
- Go to the Portfolio page
- Click Transfer (or click Spot ⇄ Perps in the order panel on the trading page, or Transfer to Perps on a row of the asset list)
- Choose the direction: Spot → Perps (click the arrow in the middle to reverse it)
- Choose the coin (BTC, ETH, SOL, USDT and USDC are supported)
- Enter the amount (you can click Max) and click Confirm
Transfers are completed instantly, with no fee.
One thing to keep in mind: any funds tied up in unfilled open orders or used as position margin cannot be transferred.

4. Moving Money Into and Out of Earn and User Vaults
Earn and User Vaults don't use Transfer. Instead, you use the Subscribe and Redeem buttons on their own pages. Earn is under Finance in the top navigation; User Vaults are under Vault → User Vault in the top navigation, and you need to log in to use them.
| Action | Path | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Earn subscription | Spot Account → Earn | Flexible: starts earning soon after you subscribe, and the subscription window shows when; fixed-term: the annual rate is fixed and earning starts at 00:00 the day after you subscribe |
| Earn redemption | Earn → Spot Account | Flexible: redeem at any time, credited in real time (it may be delayed when networks are congested), and each product may have a daily redemption limit; fixed-term: locked until maturity, then you can redeem. Redeeming before maturity means losing all the rewards already paid on that product, and the balance is returned to your Spot Account within 72 hours |
| Vault subscription | USDC → vault shares | Shares are confirmed at that day's official NAV at UTC+8 00:00; each subscription must be within the vault's minimum and maximum, and your holding after subscribing can't exceed 30% of the pool |
| Vault redemption | Vault shares → USDC | No lock-up. You are paid at the settlement NAV on the next settlement date, UTC+8 00:00, and your shares keep sharing in gains and losses until then; the platform charges no redemption fee; large redemptions (10% of the pool or more) go through a liquidity review |
User Vault funds are traded by the vault's manager. Your principal is not guaranteed and no fixed return is promised; the Annualized Return Over the Past 30 Days on the page is only a historical figure.
In short: Transfer is the channel between Spot and Perps, and Subscribe/Redeem is how you move money into and out of Earn and User Vaults. Once that is clear, you won't send money to the wrong place.

Risk Warning
Funds tied up in unfilled open orders or position margin cannot be transferred. Redeeming a fixed-term Earn product early means losing all the rewards already paid on it. User Vaults do not guarantee your principal or promise fixed returns; redemptions are paid at the NAV on the next settlement date, and your shares keep sharing in gains and losses until then. Digital asset prices can be extremely volatile, so only use funds you can afford to lose.
